Insight – The Collective was part of the exhibition ‘The Collective Intention’
Insight The Collective – Yaay
‘Insight’ is an informal lecture format developed by Depot Basel. It asks people from design-related or non design disciplines to answer a series of questions with images.
The Edge of Knowledge (TEOK) is an informal lecture series, where uncommon, unexpected topics are presented in someone’s living room. Short presentations are interspersed with video breaks and drinks, with topics ranging from food to the cosmos, internet memes and personal obsessions, seeking to offer an alternative look at the cultural outputs of the contemporary – and a window into the fantastic, rich ensemble of people that live and work in Basel. We’re excited to organize and promote this event series – and if you are around Basel, or anywhere else, you should join us for one of our sessions! The series was conceived in early 2014 by Vera Sacchetti, Juan Palencia and Marta Colón.
The ‘Insight The Collective’ edition was part of the exhibition ‘The Collective Intention’ and gives a personal insight in multi-disciplined groups of people. They gave answers to questions such as when they get angry in the collective, how an award look like, what they would safe from home in the case of fire and what friendship means to them.
Previous editions of Insight took place in Basel (2011), Zurich (2012), London (2012), Wroclaw (2013), Kortrijk (2014)
