We tend to perceive our urban surroundings – the built architecture, the social, cultural, economic and political implications, the invisible infrastructures – as a stage. As the backdrop against which we play the leading part. But who is the director of this play? Is the role, which we willingly ascribe us to, really meant for us? And if not, what would instead be our position, function and responsibility – as individuals, as community, as students of visual communication?
A four-day-long search for the invisible, ending with an approach to the question: What do we make visible? Why, how and for who?
